EDL Welcomes New Faculty Members

The Department of Educational Leadership Studies is proud to announce the hiring of 2 new assistant professors and a full professor who will also serve as Dean of the College. 

First, Dr. Mary John O'Hair has been announced as the ninth Dean of the College of Education. She comes to us from the University of Oklahoma where she was the Vice Provost for School and Community Partnerships and Director of their K-20 Center. In addition to the University of Oklahoma, she also served as a professor of education leadership at Texas Tech University and New Mexico State University. The Department is very pleased to have such an outstanding educational leader join our ranks. 

Second, the Department of Education Leadership Studies also hired two new assistant professors. Dr. Kellie Terry comes to us from Michigan State University and East Lansing Public School System, where she was the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Kellie has a substantial history of working in leadership capacities in both Michigan and Indiana schools.Dr. Wayne Lewis comes to us from North Carolina State University. Wayne did education policy work in North Carolina and was also a Special Programs Teacher for both the Wake County Public Schools and the New Orleans Public Schools.
