EDL INTERNATIONAL-EDUCATION ABROAD COURSES
SUMMER II, 2014
EDL will offer two International Education Abroad in South Africa Summer II, 2014. Since 2005, EDL has embedded two courses: EDL 705-720-International perspectives on Educational Reform and EDL 703-720 Leading Organizational Change in the International Symposium on Educational Reform (ISER) http://leadership.uky.edu/centers-services/conferences-events/iser/. When these courses are taught in Finland, South Africa, Sweden and China, the UK International Center enables students to benefit from a Provost’s 5 credit Tuition Waiver* when Education Abroad (EA) students enroll in a 1 credit hour ISP 599 (Tuition, $568**). Thus, the Provost’s Tuition Waiver helps offset the cost for students who attend the 10th ISER Conference. For example, if a student enrolls in two courses, the Provost’s Tuition offset for 5 credit hours is $2,840*. Students must sign up for these two courses through the International Center. Students will attend seminars, lectures, and research forums lead by prominent international scholars and educators at the ISER 2014 Conference convened in Johannesburg (Sandton) and Stellenbosch, South Africa (TBA).
